International: Get Active Globally! Join Us in Copenhagen in 2009!
09/18/2008
Dear All:
It is the town-by-town, country-by-country efforts of millions of LGBT activists and our allies that make up the global movement dedicated to eradicating homophobia and injustice, and replacing them with dignity and respect for human rights. For everyone engaged in this effort, I write to strongly encourage you to join me in the beautiful city of Copenhagen, Denmark from July 27-29, 2009 at the next International Conference on LGBT Human Rights at World Outgames 2009.
The Outgames Conference is the premiere international LGBT conference dedicated to inviting anyone from throughout the world to propose workshops and/or attend the conference to engage in discussions and planning sessions to advance our collective human rights efforts around the world. It is a place to learn and connect with LGBT activists from around the world, share the tools of our experiences, and to get more engaged in global activism.
To make it even more fun, the Conference is connected to World Outgames - an LGBT sporting event not to be missed!
As a member of the international steering committee for the conference, I urge you to organize and propose a workshop under the guidelines listed below...or just register and be one of the 1,000 people dedicated to building a different global response to LGBT people. Deadlines for workshops are coming up soon. Early registration for the conference will save you some money. Conference registration will be limited to 1,000 - so don't miss your chance to register and make your plans now.
Sincerely,
Paula Ettelbrick
