This report was submitted by the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC) to the United Nations for consideration by Human Rights Council under the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Pakistan to be conducted in 2008. The UPR is a new mechanism through which the UN Human Rights Council will review the human rights records of al 192 United Nations member States on an ongoing, regular basis.
